Membership Terms & Conditions

1. Objectives of Pakistan Business Professional Council UAE

(1) The Council shall be a non profit voluntary organisation comprising individuals and companies whose objectives shall be:

(a) To promote commerce and investment between Pakistan and the UAE.
(b) To provide a link with Government Departments, Tourist Offices, Educational Institutions, Chambers of Commerce and Business, and other Trade, Health & Industry related organizations in Pakistan dedicated to the promotion of economic development between Pakistan and the UAE.
(c) To provide a forum to Pakistan business executives and organizations in UAE and business executives and organisations of UAE to identify, discuss and interact in areas of common interests.
(d) To promote awareness of UAE’s, commercial significance and potential among the Pakistani business community in UAE
and Pakistan.

2. Membership

(1) Corporate Members

(a) Membership in this category shall be open to Pakistani companies with a presence in UAE and / or holding membership in any of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Provided the business houses are well established and recognized and owners are holding at least Bachelor Degree and or such other criteria that are acceptable to the committee.
(b) Companies in UAE having business relations with a Pakistani company.
Provided that the Membership Committee is satisfied of the bonafidie of the business relationship with established business organization in Pakistan.

(2) Corporate Membership Fee

(a) Every member (except honorary members and the ex-officio members) shall pay an annual membership fee only amounting to AED 3,000. The annual fee shall be due in respect of the financial year i.e. 1st January to 31St December each year and shall be payable in a lump sum in advance by 25th December each year.
(b) The membership fee will be fixed by the Committee and will be applied toward such administrative and other costs, as the
Committee shall from time to time determine.
(c) No refund of the annual membership fee will be made if a member resigns. Membership will be deemed to have lapsed if
the annual fee is not paid within the time and conditions prescribed by the Committee.

(3) Individual Members

(a) Membership in this category shall be open to Pakistani Businessmen and Professionals who are working or residing in the UAE, and do not qualify for Corporate Membership. Provided that such individuals are holding Professional or Post Graduate Degree and or are well reputed and recognized.
Procedure should be that first Membership Committee will review the application and would recommend to Executive Committee who will then recommend for the Chairman’ sapproval.
(b) The Commercial Attaché! nominated official of the Pakistan Embassy in UAE (ExOfficio).
(c) All individual members will be temporary members for two years initially.
(d) Upon successful completion of two years a temporary member will become eligible for permanent membership after vetting by the Executive Committee and subject to the approval of the Chairman.

(4) Individual Membership Fee

The annual fee shall be due in respect of the financial year i.e. 1st January to 31St December each year and shall be payable in a lump sum in advance by 25th December each year.
(b) The membership fee will be fixed by the Committee and will be applied toward such administrative and other costs, as the Committee shall from time to time determine.
