Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Pakistan Business Professional Council Abu Dhabi organized the 14th International Urdu Mushaira 2019 held in Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry on March 8, 2019.

Now in its 14th year, Mushaira 2019 was set to enthrall the audience with Urdu poetry, bringing all the myriad flavors of contemporary Urdu verses with more than 200 of poetry lovers enjoyed the enchanting literary evenings.

In this edition, Poets from Pakistan, India and other countries presented Urdu poetry in all its scintillating rang-o-aahang styles and genres. Showcased the richness and diversity of contemporary Urdu verse.

The dazzling poets’ list of the evening comprised – Dr. Pirzada Qasim Siddiqui, Dr. Kalimuddin Qaiser, Mukesh Sood, Afzal Kham Salam, Ameer Iqbal Qasim, Dr. Sabahat Wasti, Auj E Kamal, Nisar Ahmed, Sayed Arif Ali, Dr. Zubair Farooq and Moona Shahab.

The event was attended by H.E. Mozzam Ahmad Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE and Chairman of the Council, President of PBPC Abu Dhabi, Dr. S. Qaiser Anis, Dr. A. Hadi Shahid, Founding Member of PBPC Abu Dhabi, and other Members of the PBPC Executive Board.

PBPC Abu Dhabi aims to support and continue the long-standing tradition of promoting Urdu language and culture in the region.
