Abu Dhabi, UAE. – Over 100 leading business executives and entrepreneurs gathered yesterday at the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Auditorium, Al Maryah Island for Abu Dhabi Global Markets Updates of Australian Business Council Abu Dhabi. The event, in collaboration with Pakistan Business Professional Council Abu Dhabi, BeNeLux Business Council, Canadian Business Council, French Business Group, German Emirati Joint Council, International Business Women’s Group, Philippines Business Council and Swiss Business Council was held with the aim of introducing the broad-based international financial centre to Abu Dhabi businessmen.
ADGM was established in accordance with the Federal Law No. 8 of 2004, Federal Decree No. 15 of 2013, Cabinet Resolution No. 4 of 2013 and Abu Dhabi Law No. 4 of 2013. The ambition, key differentiators that are relevant to most businesses and advisors to businesses were detailed in the event by the three presenters.
Financial Centre Development Director, Mr. Steve Barnett made his presentation focused on the financial services.
Mr. Martin Tidestrom, Business Development Director, focused on non-financially regulated business – advisory and professional services, corporates, family offices etc.
It was conveyed during the presentation that ADGM provides a clear regulatory framework, an efficient online registration process and a transparent fee structure. In addition, ADGM guides and supports companies through application and set-up and provides a range of services to facilitate market entry, growth and the emergence of a vibrant, sustainably successful business community.
ADGM focuses even more on growth – social media and direct awareness campaigns in Abu Dhabi, the region and internationally road shows and other engagement across Middle East and Asia, Europe and US. It announced that they will visit Pakistan on the 25th October 2016 inviting businessmen and professionals to establish business in the new free zone.
