Abu Dhabi,UAE. – Over 100 leading business executives, manufacturers, exporters/importers and government officials gathered yesterday at the Park Hyatt Hotel for Exclusive Business Event of Abu Dhabi Ports, Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad)and Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT). The event, in collaboration with Pakistan Business Professional Council and The Islamic Republic of Pakistan Embassy to UAE, with the aim of introducing Abu Dhabi business opportunities to the Pakistani investors and businessmen.
The world-class facilities and infrastructure available for businesses in Kizad―the industrial and logistics hub of the state-of-the-artKhalifa Port― were detailed in the event titled “Opportunities in Abu Dhabi―A MaritimeTrade, Industrial and Logistics Hub”.

His Excellency Asif Durrani, Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE,delivered the keynote speech at the event, which attracted over 85 top Pakistani businessmen from across the UAE.
In his speech, he dilated upon the business potential and opportunities available in Pakistan. He described Khalifa Port as a landmark for he future industrial activity. He opined that the business community could benefit from the state of the art facilities offered by the Port and free zone. He mentioned that the trade between Pakistan and UAE could get further boost from the existing volume of US$9 billion.

The participants were impressed with the comprehensive briefing on the opportunities offered by the ports and Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad).The industrial zone also provides solutions to meet investors’ evolving requirements, such as Kizad Logistics Park, Industrial Units and Free-Zone Offices.

The participants also familiarized themselves with the facilities offered by Kizad and Khalifa Port. The PBPC will be guiding the Pakistani investors/businessmen to establish industrial projects and to set up companies in Khalifa Industrial Zone.
In the coming weeks, Kizad will arrange a visit by the Council’s members and Pakistan community to Khalifa Port and witness the state of the art facilities.
The Abu Dhabi Ports delegations also plan to visit Karachi and Lahore in the future to introduce the business opportunities offered by KIZAD, including maritime trade, industrial and logistic facilities to the Pakistani businessmen.
